DOVER, Del. (September 26, 2009) – Justin Allgaier, driver of the No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger for Penske Racing, will start Saturday’s 200-lap event at the Dover International Speedway in the 26th spot.  This is the 23-year-old’s second start at the one-mile concrete oval.  In his first outing, Allgaier captured a top-ten result.

The No.12 Verizon Wireless Dodge made two circuits around the 1-mile concrete speedway in Saturday morning’s qualifying session. The Riverton, Ill. native ran a time of 24.266 seconds which put him on the outside of the 13th row for start of the Dover 200 at the “Monster Mile”.

“The Verizon Wireless Dodge was tight at both ends of the track,” commented Allgaier after his run.  “We focused most of our efforts yesterday during both practice sessions on race runs and I am confident we will have a good race this afternoon.  These morning qualifying sessions are tough.  It is a lot cooler and the track is green. As a driver, you really never know what to expect. I am excited about the race and feel like we have a car capable of battling for the win.”

The Dover 200 will be broadcast live today, on ESPN2 with coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 128.
